The Grub Shop was a concept conceived in the idea that everyone deserves some damn good GRUB - food that is deliciously simple, creatively unique, and hits the spot every time. Plus, it also serves as an art installation that features the work of some of Long Island's best artists, including Andaluz the Artist, Phetus, and more.
Owners Sal DiBenedetto and Jon Romero are no strangers to the restaurant industry.
Sal's blog 'The Grubfather' is a staple resource of Long Island's food scene and he's also the owner of The Connect Agency, which guides restaurants to success using social media.
Jon is a serial entrepreneur with multiple long island based brands including Punta Cana Grill and Prospect Seafood.
He’s been in the food service industry since he was 14.
Creating this little foodie haven in Huntington, one of Long Island's most iconic villages, was a mix of strategy, coincidence, and fate. Opening up shop in the middle of a pandemic may seem like a roll of the dice, but with seasoned chicken tenders and cheesesteaks like these, we think the odds are in our favor!
